Dr. Shang is Director of Andrology and Embryology Laboratories at Emory Reproductive Center and Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA. She earned Master of Science degree in Reproductive Endocrinology from one of the most prestigious academic and research institutes in China, the Chinese Academy of Sciences.She received PhD degree in Reproductive Physiology at University of Tennessee and completed her postdoctoral training at Duke University School of Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. |
She has more than 27 years of experience in the field of Reproductive Physiology. She feels honored and privileged to serve patients with her finest skills and knowledge she gained over the years. The laboratories she directs now and has directed previously, consistently achieved top 5-10 % success rate in the nation (CDC data of under 35 years age group). She has devoted her efforts to improve IVF lab procedures, lab management and ultimately the IVF clinic outcomes. Her research interests include ovarian stimulation, developmental competence of ooctyes and embryos, ovarian tissue and oocyte freezing and Immunology in Reproductive Medicine.
Dr. Shang is a board certified High Complexity Laboratory Director in Andrology and Embryology by the American Board of Bioanalysis. She is an active member of American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
