Juergen Liebermann, Ph.D., H.C.L.D

 

Dr. Liebermann is currently Director of the Embryology, Andrology and Endocrinology Laboratories at the Fertility Centers of Illinois that handles more than 1500 cases per year.   

 

Dr. Liebermann is board certified High-complexity Clinical Laboratory Director and Clinical Consultant (ABB) in the disciplines of Embryology and Andrology.
 
In 2007, Dr. Liebermann and Dr. Tucker edited and published a state-of-the-art book entitled “Vitrification in Human Assisted Reproduction”.    This user's manual and trouble-shooting guide addresses the vitrification from an academic and practical point of view, with specific reference to assisted human reproduction.  For this book, Dr. Liebermann and Dr. Tucker managed contributions from world-recognized scientists in the field of cryobiology.  Dr. Liebermann has published numerous scientific papers and book chapters. He has delivered more than 115 talks at national and international level.
 
Dr. Liebermann obtained his graduate degree in Agricultural Biology in 1990 from the University of Hohenheim, Germany and received his doctoral degree in Agricultural Science in 1995 from the Technical University of Munich-Weihenstephan, Germany.  With his post-doctoral thesis in 2004 he qualified as a university lecturer in Experimental Reproductive Medicine at the Bavarian University of Wuerzburg, Germany.

 

His interests are developing new techniques for culturing human embryos and protocols for oocyte and blastocyst cryopreservation.  He is member of SSR, ASRM, ESHRE, and ABB. He serves as reviewer for different journals in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.  He is on editorial board of The Journal of Clinical Embryology.  He is on the Scientific Advisory Board of Sage/Origio and on the Speaker Bureau of Irvine Scientific.  He serves as CAP inspector. He lives in Oak Park, Illinois with his wife and 5 children.
