David D. Heinkel is the IVF Laboratory Director for the Fertility Center of Assisted Reproduction & Endocrinology (C.A.R.E.) in Winter Park, Florida. He has over 22 years experience in IVF helping couples with infertility using state of the art Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). David’s education, training and experience has brought him to the University of Iowa, University of Minnesota, and private infertility clinics in the Twin Cities of Minnesota and in central Florida. David is Board Certified as an Embryology Laboratory Director through the American Board of Bioanalysis andhas lectured and presented at conferences nation-wide . He is also a certified laboratory inspector with the College of American Pathologist/Laboratory Accreditation Program (CAP/LAP), performing IVF laboratory inspections around the country. David also plays an active role in many professional organizations and has published in peer-reviewed basic science and clinical journals. His research interests are in embryo metabolism, pre-implantation genetic screening, and non-invasive measures of embryo viability. David is married and is a father of four children.
